Chord entry problem

I’m trying to change out of the default chord symbols, so I can have E-7 instead of EM7, for example, but it is not working. I go to the layout, chord symbols, and change the chord styles to what I want, hit apply, and close, but it just keeps doing the default chord symbols. (Yes, I know I just typed an M for minor, but that’s what the Dorico minor symbol looks like, not an m.)

Did you look at Library->Engraving Options->Chord Symbols->Chord Quality?

Then hit apply and if you want to save it as default, there’s a button at the lower left.

OK, I changed the text font to Ariel, instead of Finale Jazz. That solved the problem of the m looking like an M, and the other chords I changed are working also. I think it must be the Finale Jazz text font that was the problem. Thanks

Yes, the Finale fonts are not 100% compatible.
