Chord Pad adhere to a Key & Scale?

Is there really no way for what is recorded in a part from the chord pads to adhere to the Snap Live Input in the Key Editor when the notes are literally getting recorded from a chord played from the chord pad in there?

I have to manually after the fact us Quantize Pitches to have it then map or remove the notes that don’t fit the scale?

I know chord pads generally don’t drive into the Scale Assistant, but this is simply like it could just get dictacted by the checkbox Snap Live Input ~ its live input, its getting recorded midi wise…

OR I have to use Scaler? or even Reason’s player for this?

Hi and welcome to the forum,

You can just drag and drop the MIDI data from the Pads to the MIDI/Instrument Tracks. You don’t have to record it. Then instead of the Live Input, use the Quantize Pitches option.

Thanks… had to create a new account

Ok so, its hearing it on live input is what I am after, much like Scaler I guess. Or if you did some of the other forum suggestions with transformers in real time.

I can get it to automatically convert if it uses Scales for Follow Chord Track - but that is using then the scale in the Chord Track. But again this doesn’t in real time do it when you are hearing/playing it… When you hit stop, you literally see it then move notes to fit the scale…
