Chord Pad defaults - why those chords and any way to make new defaults?

When I first bring up the Chord Pads in the lower zone they default to the same chords as the documentation -

…some 7ths across the top and C, Dmin, etc on the bottom. Is there any special significance to those chords and is there any way to change the default? (I know I can create presets, etc, but I’m really asking about the default).

Looking at some really old tutorials online, that used earlier versions of Cubase, it looks like the defaults might have been different in the past, and I saw a couple of tutorials where they were blank.

Unfortunately you cannot save custom default preset. But you can save custom presets and load them any time.
