Chord pads drag and drop question

I have been using the chord pads a lot recently. It is very easy to drag and drop the chords into place.

Unfortunately it is not possible when I want to use a pattern instead of a chord; when I drag en drop the pattern it only plays the chord.

Am I doing wrong here or do I just have to hope it will be fixed during an update?

From my understanding the patterns are meant to be played, not drag’n’drop onto the track.

I would just record them and then might have to quantize afterward.
