Hi

but how to you get the french chords is my question

Thank for you quick response

Germain

Hi Christian

Thank you very much for the quick response and where I can change the language for Chords

Germain

I have tried what you’ve proposed but I get no results at all. Even If I mark the proper chord and save as default nothing change the chords remains in english. Also can you tell me How I can get the chord only on the treble clef staff and not on the Bass Clef?

Germain

Hi @Germain_Tremblay,

Not sure what you are doing (Tose are options for Chord Roots names).

Please upload your Dorico Project file, as the answer depends on your current setup. It is faster to see what is going on if we have the file. (And please describe in detail what your desired result should be in the project that you upload). Thank you.

Christian attached is a copy of one staff to explain you what I want to be able to apply. I like to have the chord to display in French but only on the Treble clef staff. Also, how can I get rid of the bar number in grey that indicates every bar how can I hide those? Also when I apply a tie to another note of the same pitch how can I change the direction of the curve of the tie to up or down depends on the situation

I know it’s a lot of questions but in that project I like to complete since there’s all kind of little things that I don’t know how to apply.

Hope it help you understand what I’m trying to do

Germain

Yes for sure I’m French from Québec Canada so that’s why I want to learn how to place french chords since I have a very large collection of music sheet to practice with.

Germain

I understand, but as I aid it would be faster to show the answers to you, if you could upload the Dorico file itself (especially to try the chord with Do, Ré, Mi, etc…).

  • You can change the direction of ties in the properties panel:

  • Or if you want to change the tie form itself, you need to be in Engrave mode’s properties panel:
