Chord symbol on latter note in a tie

Welcome to the forum, @cantorbernard. I’m afraid that as of today there’s no good way to specify that minor triads should be shown using a lower case root in Dorico’s chord symbols. If you’re willing to create your own custom minor chord appearances, you can go to Library > Chord Symbols and type in e.g. “Am” in the box at the top left, then edit that appearance, then do the same for “Abm”, “A#m”, “Bbm”, and on, and on, but that’s really the only way for the time being.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did as you suggested but I seem unable to reformat the A chord symbol. When I try to edit it by double-clicking and then typing “a” it adds the lowercase letter. I tried changing the A to white and hide it, but that doesn’t work either. Thoughts?

There are several standard sequences that don’t seem to be part of the program, unless I’m entering them in the popover incorrectly. F64 only gives me F6; F2 only gives me F. I can edit them and get what I’m after, but they save as F6 and F, so I can’t use them for the default project setting. Thoughts on the best workarounds? Here are two examples of what I commonly need to create:

Thanks!

It looks like the chord symbols you’re creating are halfway between chord symbols and harmonic analysis. I wonder whether you might actually prefer to use MusAnalysis to achieve the results you’re after?
