Chord symbols and Ossia Staffs

Chord symbols disappear in part when Ossia staff is added (but still show as expected in the score). Is this fixable?

Thanks - I’ve just tried again in a new document and it does appear to work OK - I’ll investigate the differences in the files.

Found it - in Layout Options - “Above top staff of system” needs to be selected. For my particular file at least. Changing this has no effect on the test new file. There must be another setting somewhere in my working file that causes a conflict, but this solves my problem so I will leave it there for now.

I pretty much never want any chord symbol to show up in a ossia staff, how do I achieve this?

Check this under Library->Layout Options->Staves and System->Ossias and Extra Staves.

I see…I need tempo to be outside of ossias that’s why I chose that…but I wish it was somehow independent between text elements rather than “all or nothing”

You can flip the chord symbol to below for the ossia bar.
