I’ve been creating custom chord symbol edits to save as my defaults using the Project Default Chord Symbol Appearances editor. On some of the edits I am making, the ‘Apply to All Roots’ option is not available. What would cause this and how make sure all edits I make are able to be applied to all roots?
Any takers?
Yes, I have exactly the same problem, as explained in my post. Apply To All Roots greyed out for some chords. I played around in the library manager, tried everything I could think of in the Library>Chord Symbols page. Unfortunately I don’t have a solution, other than applying changes root by root for those few chords that don’t behave, as in previous Dorico versions.
Hi @Ryan_C, probably some overrides (defined All Roots chord symbols) collide with your desired new single override. Try to reset or delete all other overrides. As a reference see the other thread:
Thanks for you reply, @Christian_R. I think clearing a few items solved this.
Do you know if that Dorico file that John Barron used in his video with all the chord variations notated is available for downloading?
Thanks!
