Chord symbols for solo regions in a jazz chart

Hi

This is probably a common ask, but I am not seeing any answers in the Dor. Help manual.

I want chord changes to appear in for example alto 1 part for a solo slash region and not anywhere else in the alto 1 part.

I have tried in set up to change the settings to show chords in slash areas, but that is not working.

Where the solos are, there is only a multi-measure rest.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Did you try with Write->Create Chord Symbol Region?

Or perhaps a Write->Create Slash Region.

Did you search in the PDF manual or the web version?

In the latter, just entering your first five words of your topic title in the searchbar, (including the typo ) gives the result @jesele provided

I don’t seem to be able to select a chord symbol region as shown and see it selected in write mode.

How did the the chord region get selected in the purple in your example?

I can’t control where to start and stop slash regions.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I followed what you indicated and I still don’t see that it is highlighted.

What elsedo I need to do?

Are you sure you have these ticked under View? Slash regions turn green and can be selected by clicking anywhere in the green area.
