Chord symbols repeated root, different alterations

This works great: C C/B C/A, when it is reduced to: C /B /A.

What about: C C+5 C6 C7 reduced to: C +5 6 7 or C (+5) (6) (7).
Is this already available to me? I have searched but not found it.

No, I’m afraid Dorico doesn’t support this: it can hide the root and quality together, but it cannot hide only the root.

There’s no way to automate this, but you can manually do it in Engrave if you want.

In the Edit Chord Symbol Component window, click the root, then click the Edit Component window. In the next screen hit the trash can to delete the root.

Thank you for this information.
I can find no Edit Chord Symbol Component window in my Dorico 3.5.12.1066.
Where is it?

I’m not in front of Dorico at the moment, but I’m pretty sure you just have to double click the chord symbol while in Engrave mode.

You’re right. I can do it now. But if I edit away the G in G+, then what would I do later if I had to spell out the G aug chord symbol? Maybe that’s the catch on this whole idea?

I’m not sure I’m understanding your issue I guess. Any Engrave mode edits are just for that specific chord symbol instance so it wouldn’t affect any other.
