The Chords track (when playback is enabled) emits MIDI notes corresponding to each entered chord symbol. This can be very useful.
In some cases, it would be more useful to instead emit trigger notes. They could be used to operate chord pads in HALion Sonic (or equivalent functions in other plugins), for more extensive control.
One way this could be implemented would be a “Chord Map”, very similar to the existing Percussion Map. An entry could be created for each required chord symbol, associated to a trigger note and optional keyswitches.
