Chord track confusion

Hi folks,

I have set up a chord track and want to import an audio recording into my project and have it follow the chord track.
In the inspector for my aduio track, I select the the chord tab and then choose the Follow Chords and Scales option. It analyses my audio.

The thing is - the audio plays back in the wrong key, and sounds a bit distorted?! Annoyingly I can’t undo it as it appears to be a destructive change!? :blush:

Any suggestions as to what the issue might be??

Hi,

Did you insert the Chord events?

Is the audio file in the same Sample Rate as the project and the Sample Rate of the Audio Device?

Hi Martin,

yeah - chord events inserted. The audio files are the same sample rate as the project 48k.

Its really weird.

The audio is stereo - I’m wondering if that makes a difference??

Hi,

No, the format is not important. Does it sound distorted even if you disable the following of the Chord Track?
