Chords displaying wrong (I'm adding them in concert pitch)

I’m in Dorico 6.2.20 and working in a score without a key signature. I manually typed in the chord F#7(b5) like this:

but when I hit return, it shows up as this:

Why would it do this? I looked throughout the inspector but can’t see any options that would make it display properly.

(Note this is in a saxophone player and I am adding chords in the full score, which is currently displayed in concert pitch, which is the easiest way for me to label chords the way I intend them. The eventual goal will be to export the sax part in its proper transposition with the chords also transposed.)

Have you maybe customized some of your chord symbols? When I enter what you have, with factory settings, I get:

If you can upload your project file, someone will take a look.

Solved by AI: for some reason in this project, the Library menu > Font Styles > Chord Symbols Music Text Font was set to Times. Once I changed this to Bravura Text font, all of my chord symbols now appear properly.

Documenting it here in case anyone else runs into this. (Thanks @asherber - you were close!) This wasn’t related to the sax being a transposing instrument nor to me composing in atonal (no key signature) mode; it was just a font issue.

Sorry - but YOU caused the problem.

Was that comment necessary?

Yes. Because you blamed the font.
Fonts don’t change by themselves.

What an odd comment. I didn’t blame the font. How does one blame a font? The font didn’t do anything wrong.

I didn’t knowingly change that font setting in this project, so even if I did and didn’t realize it, it was accidental. I don’t think I needed the finger-pointing of “YOU caused the problem.” Whether you intended it or not, that came off to me as quite rude. I think we all agree this forum is for helping people solve problems, not for jabbing at them for making mistakes. Let’s not create an unnecessarily toxic environment here.
