Chords track - output notes details?

I am curious about the MIDI notes emitted from the chord track. This track is very useful to me, and I’m doing some synthesizer experiments.

  • The chords always seem to be output in root position - is this reliable?
  • Is there a maximum number of chord voices? It seems to be 6; for example Cmaj11 and Cmaj13.

IIRC, chords typed into the popover are always root position (or altered bass), but if you play them in from MIDI keyboard they will retain their voicing.

Here’s a feature request for the team:
Borrow the Chord logic from Cubase for this, it’s really powerful!

Or, allow a MIDI FX plugin to be inserted ahead of the synth in an Endpoint.
