Have you made any vertical adjustments to the lyrics previously? And was there ever a system break there at bar 20?

I think it’s a no to both. And I actually deleted all the notes and the lyrics and re-entered them to check, and got the same result.
I am using an aftermarket font; I didn’t try switching to a native dorico font, but I don’t think that would matter…
If it was a font issue I’d expect individual letters to be misaligned, not whole words. And in theory you can use any font you want. So that’s unlikely. Could you upload the project file (or a cut-down version) so we can take a closer look?
It’s in Galley View, right? Unfortunately this happens in Galley View. Drives me nuts, but it’s correct in Page View.
