"Chromatic mouse input" issue

On preference setting: “Specify accidental, rhythm dot and articulations: After inputting note”, accidentals are being applied to the previous note.
Example: if I enter B-flat, F-sharp, and B-flat again, I get this:

To input B flat, F sharp, B flat when you have Specify accidental, rhythm dot and articulations set to After inputting note, you need to type B, then add the flat, then F, then add the sharp, then B, then add the flat.

I hope I’m not stating the horribly obvious! Apologies if I’m missing something.

I’m talking about adding notes by clicking them, not typing (and with my previous settings untouched, like the one stated above; with Before inputting note setting all works fine).
The Dorico_5.1.70_Version_History states that “You can now hold Shift to see all chromatic pitches as you move over the staff and click to input that pitch.”
That’s exactly what I did (clicked B-flat, F-sharp, and B-flat shadow notes), and that’s exactly what I got on my side: not “those pitches”, but the ones in the picture.
I don’t usually input with the mouse, so for me it’s not a big deal. I just decided to report what to me seems an obvious (sorry ) malfunction/mislead.

Thanks for clarifying. I can reproduce the problem now, and I’ll make sure it gets fixed in due course.
