Steinberg has released the updated Yamaha Steinberg USB driver version 1.6.2 for the CI1 interface for Windows. The free update increases the overall performance and resolves several minor issues.

What exactly does this update cover in “The Improved Performance”?? I’m gonna record later today to test it out. This driver has to be the most stable one that I’ve worked with so far. No crashes, no missing devices, no problems.

Better performance means that you can use lower latencies than before without any negative impact on the system performance.
Cool, Ed. Kinda like the latest update for the UR series. The driver works great as usual after the update (although I’ve made a habit of staying at 2048 samples for quality concerns).
