Clef issue between flows

I didn’t really know how to word this to search for answers, all I kept coming across were transposing instruments, which isn’t quite my issue.

On to the problem:
1 piece, divided into 6 flows (6 movements), most played non-stop.

The issue is with the piano part (it’s a chamber work, violin and piano).
two of the movements end with clef changes in the upper staff of the piano, it switches to bass clef for the next flow.
I need a cautionary bass clef at the very end of the flow, to indicate that the next page (new flow) begins with both piano staves in bass clef.

When I add a bass clef at the very end of the flow, Dorico automatically adds an empty measure immediately afterward.
Is there a way of adding my cautionary clef change without having Dorico add that extra blank measure?

I can add my cautionary clef, and it looks perfect… I save the file, and exit Dorico. but when I open Dorico the next time, it has added an empty measure again.

Michel, can you increase the rhythmic grid and place a clef change right before the end of the last bar? (i.e., not the end of the bar, but just riiiiight before it)

I suggest you set the rhythmic grid to something very small. Add your cautionary clef and nudge it to a place where it does not create an extra bar.

I tried that just now, as follows, and it works.

Position the caret in the last bar, use right arrow to move it to the end of the bar and then press left arrow once to move it back by one rhythmic grid increment. Apply the clef change. If you need to move the clef closer to the final barline, adjust Properties > Common > X Offset while in Engrave mode.

(beaten to it by @Janus by 1 second!)

I’ll try that fix.

Is this what one might consider a “bug” in Dorico?
I find it odd that I can place the clef at the very end of the measure, where it goes, and it doesn’t add a measure.
But as soon as I save, exit, re-enter that file… tadah! a new empty measure now exists after the clef change.
