Clefs at beginning of divisi

I have the following situation:

A divisi a 2 starts where the notes are highlighted in the cellos. Dorico is putting an F clef there because (I’m guessing) that’s the default clef for the instrument. I want to continue with that in general in this project.

But I’d like the clef here to be a tenor clef - i.e., to continue using the clef the instrument is in prior to the divisi.

Could this be considered as an option for configuring divisi?

At the moment, I have to insert a tenor clef where the bass clef is, and set the opacity to 0 to make it invisible. It works, but it’s not a great solution as there is no signpost. (I can’t hide the tenor clef, if I do, the bass clef reappears).

I found a better workaround:

  • Copy your divisi change signpost to the start of the flow temporarily
  • Change the clef on the 2nd staff there at the start
  • Delete the unneeded divisi change

This way you don’t need to change clef before the divisi occurs.
