Click on Menu bar - file - edit - project - nothing happens?

I have noticed that sometimes when I click on the menu bar, none of the buttons are accessible… I can see it across the top, but clicking does nothing.

File - Edit - Project - Audio - MIDI - Scores - Media - Transport - Devices - Workspaces - Window - Help


In order to make the buttons accessible, I have to click the “restore down” button on the main window to turn the arrange window into a separate window. Then, the main menu is accessible.

Is there something I’m doing wrong here, because this sure feels like a bug… very annoying.

I have the same issue. i have found that if I click on an open space on the desktop, outside of cubase and then go back and select one of the menus, it works. Annoying to be sure.
