This has been happening for the past few days, never happened prior. I’m working in a score, everything is normal, I record various instrument parts to accompany a MIDI piano track, and suddenly the next time I turn on Record to play a part, the click is playing polyrhythms. Two simultaneous tempos. My scores typically have an imported tempo track which is often variable per measure. There are tempo tags on the top staff and this usually works just fine … until a couple of days ago. It has happened on 3 different files. Obviously it is impossible to record a new part accurately, when the click is playing two wildly different tempos simultaneously.
I have heard this phenomenon before sometimes, when recording at the start of a non-first flow in a project. But not in the middle of a flow.
This project has two empty flows after the one I’m recording in. Playback options | timing is currently set to 0.0 seconds between flows. I have also had problems with the playback options timing between flows resetting to the default 5.0 sec. I’ve mentioned this problem before and it’s still happening. The exact set of actions prior to this happening is still unknown.
I just deleted the two empty flows after Flow 1 where I am recording, and the polyrhythm click is gone.
