- Disappearance and reappearance of the new automation elements when switching from pointer to range tool. Unbelievable that this is not noticed immediately.
Hi,
Could you please describe what is happening in the video?
its obvious.
wehen you switch the controls the new labels should change too, but they only change when you move over them and then they disappear. nonsens.
Hi,
To me it looks as expected. Some controls are available for the Object Selection tool only.
Did you also switch to to combiner tools?
The issue happens after de selecting the combiner tool again
Hi,
Yes, I did.
This is, why did I ask you to write a proper description, please.
are you from Steinberg?
i mean it’s very obvious. you can see everyhting in the video.
- import audio file
- slice it multiple times
- use different types of clip gain:
- with the range tool and change from the upper part
- with the draw tool and add some points
- change gain with the new mini fader in the events
- use combiner tool, change some things
- unselect combiner tool, use select tool or range tool and see the issue
Hi,
Unfortunately, you didn’t write the bug again. Just:
If you know, what you are looking at, it’s easy to see it. But if you don’t, it’s hard to search.
If I finally see, what you see, you are talking about the controls UI objects and the redraw issues, right?
- Add an Audio Event and cut it to multiple events.
- Ensure, the Object Selection tool is selected.
→ You can see the Volume control at the bottom left corner of every single Audio Event. - Switch the tool over to the Range Selection tool.
=> The Volume controls don’t disappear. You have to hover over the Audio event to force the redraw. [bug] Only the 1st (or selected) Audio Event becomes redrawn correctly. - Hover over all Audio Events, to force their redraw.
- Switch back to the Object Selectino tool.
=> The Volume controls don’t appear. You have to hover over the Audio Event to force the redraw. [bug] Only the 1st (or selected) Audio Event becomes redrawn correctly.
Am I correct with the description?
The Combine Selection Tool option just present the same bug in a more complicated way.
Excellent description my man !
English is not my first language
So yes the issue is that you have to force the UI elements which mouse hover over.
While waiting for a possible fix, maybe you can explore if “Always show volume event controls” works more to your liking. You can find it in Preferences → Event Display → Audio
