Clip Gain with Mouse Wheel - perfect!

There have a been a couple of posts about the new clip gain control, and some dissatisfaction with its implementation.

I discovered today that it can be adjusted from any point in the region with the Mouse Wheel, once the clip is selected. Just in case you’ve missed that option it’s Preferences/Editing/Audio/ and a checkbox “Use Mouse Wheel for Event Volume and Fades”
Works on multiple selection of clips too which is very useful indeed. And only when the clip(s) is selected, highlighted. So far I can’t see a downside to this, I’m finding it incredibly useful.

Sorry if everyone knows this but I wanted to create a separate post after commenting on another users unhappiness at the Clip Gain implementation, wishing it were more like PT. I can’t think of an easier way for this to work than with the mouse wheel, perfect for me.

Not so much success with the fades, can’t find a way to have them not snap to something or other, if anyone knows how to turn that aspect off that’d be great.

EDIT and Ooh just discovered I can Key Command that function on and off - perfect for when assembling lots of stuff and not actually editing, so no chance of errors. Love this feature, as you can tell!

Yeah, using a mouse for that seemed really strange to me.
I even have a second scroll wheel on my left hand (Razer Tartarus Pro) that is mapped to adjust clip gain on selected events.

would rather have it as a modifier than a on/off switch
