I’ve had two scenarios recently where I applied processing to audio clips, once with an ARA render and just moments ago when I reversed the phase of a duplicate vocal. In both cases I noticed an icon on the upper right corner of the clip was added. Today, I knew it must be due to the phase flip… but… I cannot see where I would be able to find out what it means had I not just made the change. I’m sure there’s somewhere I can look to see, but I don’t know where that is. Can someone please tell me what the fastest way to ‘translate’ the icon on the clip is??
Please make a screenshot of the icon. It could be several.
Here’s a screenshot, but like I said I know what this one means… since I just flipped the phase. But what I’m wondering is how, in the future, if I see one of these icons I can find out what it means inside Cubase quickly
This icon matches the icon for Direct Offline Processing
While the manual describes some of the possible symbols it does it so that they are scattered all over the manual.
fastest way to learn about it is to come here and ask.
Where are you seeing that icon in your screenshot?
That’s gotta be the spot I’m searching for
In the project tool bar. From left to right it’s Media Bay, Pool, MixConsole, Control Room, and Direct Offline Processing.
Like everything in the tool bar this bar can be made invisible, so you might have to configure the tool bar to display it.
Thanks. I found it.
It would be nice if a tooltip popped up when hovering over the icon or if the clip had more information in the Editor window. Seems silly to go through all the trouble of coding an icon into the GUI and not define it anywhere that can be viewed easily
