When the clipping flag comes up it stays there permanently:
Could you give us an option in the settings to make it temporary plz. That when you stop playback and start again it will remove itself. If it clips again it will pop up again.
Also could it have a readout for us. Right click on it and it will give a little box showing when the first clip happened and what channel / event, and what the loudness level was.
I like that idea.
Clipping does not occur there. It occurs only in the converter (DAC) and when usimg integer bit reolutions when creating an audio file.
Ya with the daw processing at thirty two bit float it doesn’t clip anywhere.
I’m asking for it to tell what channel caused the level to go over 0 dB. If it’s multiple channels that summed to over 0 dB on the master, then give a list of all channels involved at that time, and their levels.
I just click on it and it resets 
I keep clicking it and it keeps coming back.
Maybe it would be good to have to manually toggle it on. For use only in the mixing stage, when we even care that it exists.
I am using the technique of ignoring the indicator until a project is at the final stages, where it matters. Of course, that doesn’t help you with finding the position that’s beyond 0dBFS.
