Cma7 and CMa7 instead of CMA7

Hi there,

I’m writing to inquire about a feature request for Dorico. I’m looking to create a major 7th chord, such as Cma7, but Dorico only seems to allow MA, any idea?

A client prefers to use ma7 chord suffix, so I thought it would be a great addition to the software. I would greatly appreciate it if you could consider this as a feature request. Thanks so much!

I’m nowhere near a chords expert, but I was able to do this in less that 2 minutes…

How? Library menu>Chord symbols. There I wrote Cmaj7 in the field, pressed +, then double clicked the maj thing in the big editing window, got rid of it, wrote ma instead. Then I Applied to all roots. Done.
