I found that, when in engrave mode, if I want to select only two systems in a lead sheet and drag them, the desired result can only be obtained when using the key command “opt + arrows”, if I cmd + drag with the mouse, only the bottom one moves, and the result feels kind of unpredictable.
I also want to point out that having to press cmd during the whole process feels weird. If I already pressed cmd to select multiple systems, why doesn’t Dorico just take that into account? If I want to the deselect them, I could just press anywhere else on the page. Is there a reason for this?
Also, can I disable the function that makes double clicking in engrave mode return to write mode?
The arrow keys behave fairly consistently throughout the program. Opt + arrows is always move.
However: for something as simple as a lead sheet, you should be able to get a decent result without much manual adjustment, just by using the settings in Layout Options. You might want to tweak a few things, but there shouldn’t be much work.
If you’re having to do lots of manual moving, there might be a better way.
Thanks for the insight!
Yeah, I found that using the arrows or tweaking each system individually gives me the desired result. I just wanted to report that trying to move them with the mouse results in, what I felt was, an unexpected behavior.

I usually find myself double-clicking on the numbers governing the distance between systems (or staves as needed) and adjusting the numbers rather than dragging or using ALT/OPT + Arrows to change significant distances between systems or staves.
For smaller adjustments I may use the ALT/OPT + Arrows or SHIFT + ALT/OPT + Arrows.
