The color pallete (top of project window) now shows only 1 column when ‘select color by name’. Previously, it showed multiple columns such that you could see all colors/names at once. Now in cubase-14 you have to scroll. Did I overlook something? Is there a setting? Can this be fixed? Thanks
Project>Project Colors Setup>Options>Disable ‘Select Colors By Name’
Yes, but I think the OP wanted to see both the name and the colour at the same time?
You may be right. In that case, there’s no direct solution because the software has now definitively changed. With ‘Select Colors by Name’ enabled it has been a long list since several versions of Cubase (at least throughout versions 12 and 13).
Note that with ‘Select Colors by Name’ disabled you can still see the name and the color at the same time in the palette by hovering over each color box.
In C13 both options were available at the same time:
Ctrl + (Shift) + Click in the left zone of the header showed a dropdown with names
Alt + Click on the name of the track in the inspector displayed all colours without name like it is in C14 when “Select Colours by name” is unchecked
However, that´s now consistent in C14
