Colorize fingerings

I can’t seem to colorize guitar fingerings in the manner described at

In Engrave mode I select the LH fingering number (only), with graphic editing engaged, I indicate a color in the Common area of the lower portion. The result for me is that the note head is colored, not the fingering. Can someone tell me what I’m missing? Thanks.

I see there was a similar question in 2022 around the time of Dorico 4.3. Any progress since then?
