Combined marcato-staccato symbol for looks and placement

(Couldn’t find anything related on the forum or by a quick search on the Facebook group.)

Can Dorico in the future use the combined symbol / glyph for marcato-staccato? See the symbol in the SMuFL definition here, U+E4AE and U+E4AF.

It would solve the case (with default engraving options) that the staccato dot is not placed with the marcato / heavy accent symbol when it’s stem-up, since the marcato / heavy accent symbol is always placed above the staff by default, while the staccato dot follows the notehead.

(Left = Dorico, Right = ideal)

(Stem-down notes do not have this issue, of course)

While the symbol in Bravura has the spacing between the two, it would be nice if there’s an option to tuck the staccato dot in the marcato / heavy accent wedge.

An easy fix is to just select your staccato dots in engrave mode and press ‘f’ to flip.
