Hi, if i change to the balance panner i have to move it a bit and its sending both channels again. The pics showing the send result without any FX!
Blue meters.
Oha, i´m so sorry!!! No bug at all, but never expected something certain. Thx st10ss! I like blue
There is a preference to turn off the automatic linking of the channel panner to the Send panner:
Is this enabled by default? I thought it wasn’t. Haha, since I need to be careful not to confuse some of my own key commands with defaults as they’ve been around for so long I wouldn’t want to bet on my guess
BTW: @st10ss “Blue meters”. One of the shortest solutions that I’ve ever come across in this forum. Spot on
Yeah, if I use blue meters Cubase behaves completely different. @st10ss is absolutely right to critizie the colors of the meters that people use. /s
Nah, my point was that “Blue meters” seem to have triggered the OP to think about the panning setup. Which can be much more complex than just these obvious settings.
Blue meters - each to their own. Some like understatement others like to illuminate their slippers RGB-style.
ADDENDUM: Cubase behaving differently depending on the colour of the meters. You have no idea how tempting it is to let my imagination run free on this association … which colour results in a specific mix/genre/involved plugins, you name it…
We should take Steffens approach as the standard troubleshooting approach. For any issue that gets reported our first question shall be: Are you using blue colored meters?
If they say yes, we reply “that’s wrong, you shouldn’t do that”.
If they say no, we reply “that’s wrong, you should totally do that”.
You can’t mix Black Metal with blue meters. They need to be black.
See, that’s what I meant…
It doesn’t end there. I mean colours, yes. There’s an obvious choice when it comes to Reggae - but what about Peak Hold - does this also reflect on the choice of weed involved? Hui, I’m riding high on clichées, I shouldn’t…!
For those who confuse left and right - maybe different colours to, er, differentiate them?
Maybe AI would enable Cubase to detect a sad ballad and make the meters a rainy grey, and pink and yellow for an upbeat song?
jo, but not for the faint-hearted
best post ever. Great start to the day, more of this.
I think you’re onto something…
In that case, it shouldn’t be too complicated to offer a hardware device that blows scented steam out of a garden hose which reflects the musical mood you’re producing.
If your music sounds crappy - manure-scented steam it is
