Combining Voices when exporting to Midi

I am considering cross-grading from Finale to Dorico. I use Finale to create midi files that can be played, with key prompts and displayed notation, in piano apps such as Synthesisa and Home Concert Xtreme. I often have two voices on each staff, treble clef, and bass clef. When exporting to a Midi type 1 file with the option “all instruments saved to separate tracks” Finale automatically combines the separate voices on each clef. All the voices from the treble clef are combined to one channel, and the same for the bass clef. I have not been able to do so in Dorico. All of the notes are sounded when the apps are played, but not all of the notation is shown. Is it there a way to do this in Dorico?

I believe you can set things up in Dorico such that each voice is assigned to a separate channel, if you use independent voice playback: the MIDI channels chosen in Play mode for each voice should be reflected in the exported MIDI file.
