Hi all, I have Dorico installed on both my laptop and desktop machines, both apple. I have set them up to grab my personal templates from an online cloud folder (box, in my case) so that when I update the template, any score started on either machine will grab the latest.
I also have Dorico on my iPad, and I’d like to start using it more. Can I set up to start a new score from the same templates I’ve stored in my box folder? If so, how do i do this?

There’s no way to add custom project templates in Dorico for iPad, I’m afraid. Of course you can have a folder of custom templates somewhere in a shared location (e.g. iCloud Drive), but the workflow for actually starting a project from that template on iPad is a bit clumsy: you’d need to go to the Files app, duplicate the template file and give it the new name (and perhaps move it to the place where you want the final project to live), then open it from there. (This is because Dorico for iPad doesn’t have a “Save As” command as such.)
Hmm, bummer. So the best workflow for me is log into a machine remotely, start the project with the template, save to my usual cloud location, and then work on it on the iPad. hah.
Ouch! You don’t have any other access? If you can log in remotely, at least you have that. It’s a pain but if you can manage to copy a file over as a template, save it as such and work on a copy. Otherwise, work without a template and import it into your template when you get back. (Not helpful if you need to print or show a client locally, I know.) 
@dspreadbury , adding the ability to create/edit templates would be a feature I’d pay a little extra for as an add-on to the ipad lifetime subscription! Especially if it were possible to get it added “as needed” via a monthly subscription add-on!

yeah, i can log into my desktop machine from my ipad remotely, and start the chart that way. (Or finish it for that matter, but I don’t love the way the remote screens display, so i’d rather work on the ipad once the tempate’s in place.)
So there’s a workaround, but i certainly wouldn’t say no to a simliar menu in the iPad app. hah.
