I’m learning about the comp tool and would love to use it on prerecorded tracks. It’d be great to just throw whatever sample loops or sound design stuff I brought in from other projects and use the comp tool to make quick edits. Is this possible or is the comp tool only available if you just done multiple recording passes in the project? Thanks much in advance for any help.
You’ve already half answered your own question…
You can do pretty much the same thing by importing your samples to adjacent tracks and just use the cut tool instead to do the same thing!.. if you then want to you can just drag your finished edits all onto the same track easily enough by dragging and dropping them…
