regardless of the font type. Can someone confirm?
Hi,
Since when, please?
Since Version 15
No small heads.
Just noticed, that i can do it with a new projekt.
But why not with this one?
I did it from Bar 85 to 89 (for example)
test.zip (91.6 KB)
I can’t see any small note heads, not even in your picture. When I switch back and forth, nothing changes.
Hi,
I have selected the Bar 89 and set all the Noteheads to Compact. You can see the result on the screenshot. At Bars 85-89, there are no Notes in the “Bass” track, what I can confirm in the Key Editor.
I downloaded the file to test with the same result. I’m seeing the same thing as the OP. Also there are indeed notes in the bass at bar 89… Is there a miscommunication?
It’s not about bass notes.
It’s about all the notes between bar 85 and the end of bar 89 being shown as cue notes. But they’re the same size as regular notes.
That’s why I now always have to add a note like “play” or “violins” or “piano”.
In a new project it is possible to show smaller notes although I still think they’re too big, at least I can see a difference. But not here. Not even in your screenshot.
Hi,
Sorry, I’m maybe missing something… But if I switch the Default Noteheads and the Compact Noteheads, I can see a difference. Even though I have to say, it’s very tiny. See the chords at the 2nd and 3rd beat.
Default:
Compact
The same result is in Cubase 14 on my side.
In any case, when I switched any notes to Compact, their size stays the same here… just giving my observation on an issue
Sorry, I can’t see anything.
After having a look at the manual, this function doesn’t change the size of the note heads,
See Small notehead missing, C14, score editor - #2 by StefanFuhrmann
But I don’t understand, why in a new project exactly that function does something and in my project it does nothing.
Her you can see a visible effect of the same procedure with a new project. On the end of the clip i test the grace notes, what is the expected size, but not the same of course because of all the pauses.
bur which function are you asking about? Compact Noteheads or Gracenotes? Sorry, it doesn’t seem clear what you’re trying to say - maybe language translation thing?
In Cubase 13 it was called “cue Notes”.
I mean cue Notes and I expected “compact Noteheads” would be “cue Notes” or at least something similar… significantly smaller than normal notes.
What else would compact noteheads be if they weren’t smaller? This difference is barely noticeable in a new project and completely absent in the present one.
I hear you… But it just spaces the notes more compactly. The manual entry shows a more obvious and extreme example.
