Compile perfect take with two mikes/tracks

Hi!

I’m new to this forum, so this question might have been asked before but:

With electric guitar I normally use two mikes on my amp, recording to two seperate tracks simultaneously.

Afterwards, I compile the “perfect take” by mixing parts from, let’s say 5-6 takes.

With the new “grouping tracks” function I thought the cutting and muting done on the first track would be automatically repeated on the second track. However, it does not, so after making my compilation on the first track, I have to meticulously repeat the procedure on the second track.

Is there a way to around this, making the whole process faster and safer?
