I am not getting any response from my computer keyboard in Cubase 14.
I have tested with various keyboards but still no response.
It does work in Cubase 13 and 12. Virtual Keyboard also works.
Is the ‘All MIDI Inputs’ setting for the device in Cubase’s MIDI Port Setup checked
If you mean Mackie Control, VST Quick Controls, Track Quick Controls, then “MIDI input” is set to ALL MIDI Inputs.
In the MIDI Port Setup list, I don’t see a Port System Name like on a computer keyboard! I do see a number of inputs.
I reinstalled Cubase 14 via Download Assistant, as well as other software components. But why does it keep saying “install again”? Are those extra updates or something?
I updated to Cubase 15 but have the same problem!!!
Some people reporting better if not using WinRT (MIDI options)

I had already started looking there, but I still don’t see Midi options listed anywhere. I do see Midi Port setup, remote, Mackie control, Hui, etc., but no Midi Options.
Now I see
I checked the box and restarted as well, but the result is the same. The mouse works, but the keyboard doesn’t. It was definitely worth a try. Thanks for the tip.
Have you checked to see if there might be a possible error message that is behind the instance of Cubase once it’s open?
What kind of keyboard is it, and how is it connected to the computer?
What operating system and version are you on?
I don’t get any special messages on startup.
I work with Windows 11 and test with a wireless Logitech combo keyboard-mouse, and also test with a non-wireless Logitech one.
Everything works normally with Cubase 12 and 13.
With Cubase 14, and now for that reason the updated version 15, it does not work.
So updating to Cubase 15 brings no improvement.
My MIDI keyboards FLKey and others work normally depending on the import settings. This is a strange case because the USB connections are apparently OK.
MIDI note input with FLKey and Roland A49 works perfectly.
Icon Platform M+ same problem as with computer keyboard.
Icon Platform works perfectly on Versions 12 and 13.
Have no idea how to solve that!
