Computer randomly deactivated - is this normal?

I’ve been running 13 on three computers. Today, I go to computer number three and it says no license. I bring up the manager and it shows not activated, and displays the Activate button. I click activate, and now Cubase starts.

I haven’t installed software or made any configuration changes to this computer. It just suddenly got deactivated.

Is this normal behavior because it’s cloud based licensing, where it periodically deactivates the computer and you have to “phone home” again?

Windows?
OS updates installed recently?

Windows 10, no updates installed since the last time I ran Cubase on this computer.

I’m new to the cloud licensing as I came from 11, so I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Is it a normal thing to have to randomly reactivate, or is it just a glitch?

No, it’s not normal for this to happen, it should be one and done for any given machine.
I can’t explain why it’s happening to you in particular but if it were a regular event the forum would be flooded with complaints.

Thanks, man.

That’s what I wanted to know, whether it was part of the licensing mechanism or just a glitch.

If it’s not by design then I won’t worry about it unless it becomes a regular thing, at which point I would just troubleshoot it like any other glitch.
