Concatenating Note values

Sometimes Dorico, especially with complex meters such as 7/8, will split a long note into two notes with a tie. I’m assuming there is a command to reverse the decision and rewrite it as one note - eg: if it turns a quaver into 2 semis, get it to revert back to a quaver.

Only way I have found is to create complex meters as in 2+2+2+1/7 which is a pain and often has other consequences, especially in other staves.

Have searched the manual but maybe my terminology is wrong.

Thanks for any help

Force Duration (O).
For the case you quote: Untie (U) the semis, Force Duration (O), set quaver duration (5).
