Hey all, I’ve been setting up a concert band template tonight with Dorico 3.5, making some expression maps as I go, and I’ve run into a snag.
What I’m trying to do is have Flutes 1 and Flutes 2 (Each is to be multiple players, and playback using a Flute Section VI), but I was curious about adding a Solo option in the Flutes 1 staff.
Do I set this up as section players? Do I set it up as a single player holding a “Solo flute sound” and a “Section Flute Sound”? Then, is there any way in the expression map to set up a “Solo” and “All” Technique Add On Switch? (Similar to using Vibrato and Non Vibrato as Add On Switches that can apply to multiple articulations?
Just wondering if anyone has ideas… and yes, I know I’m somewhat over-complicating this.
In other news, I’ve managed to get Expression Maps working for Spitfire Woodwinds using UACC, and VSL Saxes/Euphonium (Not using all articulations, just a base set.)
