For a part I would like to make room for a staff, right at the bottom of the page.
So I did the “concertina drag” with OPTION+DRAG as described here and made plenty of room for another staff but I don’t know how to move the first staff from the next page at the bottom of this one.
Very bad approach. That is only for minor adjustments. Delete them all and reduce the Inter-system gap in Layout Options > Vertical Spacing.

To bring another staff onto the previous page, select something in the bar you want to be at the start of the page, then select something in the bar you want to be at the end of the page, then click the Make Into Frame button in the toolbox on the left-hand side in Engrave mode.
