I have several parts that I need to show as condensed in the score but be split into separate individual parts. When I enable condensing, the player numbers, e.g. “1, 2” do not immediately follow the part name as they do in the parts that are not condensed, e.g. Alto Saxophone, Trumpets, etc. I want the condensed parts to look like the non-condensed parts without all the space between the name and the numbers. Can someone tell me what I need to change? Thanks in advance.
Hi @Scherzo_Trading, try setting the Paragraph Style for Staff Labels (from menu Library) to right Aligned:
Christian_R, thank you - I actually need all the part labels left aligned with the music frame. That’s how everything is currently configured. Not sure why the numbers for condensed parts aren’t adhering to that.
Okay, so a little more info: the numbers only appear to be “Staff Labels (Inner)” while the names are just “Staff Labels.” When I set “Staff Labels (Inner)” to left aligned, the numbers now overlap the names. Thoughts on how to fix? (See pic.)
Try this Engraving Option (I guess it’s set to “stack vertically” and “Consider Stem Allocation” in your file)
(No need to change the Staff Labels (inner) alignment, just keep Staff Labels alignment to the left.)
Thank you, Charles.
