Hello,
I am writing a piece for a large ensemble and at one point I want the string divisi to be seen individually (one staff for each of the “voices”).
The problem is that, no matter how much I change the condensing settings and select the “no condensing” option, nothing seems to change in the score.
I’ve searched YouTube and here in the forum and haven’t been able to find a solution… If you can help me, I’d be very grateful.

I might be wrong, but I don’t think you can condense string sections.
That used to be a limitation in earlier versions, but has since become possible. There’s a Condense divisi checkbox in Layout Options.
Re the OP’s question: condensing changes only take effect on the start of the next system, except when they are placed precisely on the start of the system.
