The staff condensing feature is awesome. I want to condense only clarinets 2 & 3 onto a single staff, while keeping clarinet 1 on its own staff. Also, I want to condense horns 1 & 3 onto a single staff, and horns 2 & 4 onto a single staff. Right now, if I just use the condense command it doesn’t work just right. How do I edit the condense feature to make these staves the way I need them to be?
Thank you Janus. I see from your reply that you can create custom condensing groups in the Layout options, but when I access that page, I cannot add/edit a custom group. I’ve looked in the Pro 6 Operations Manual, pp. 674 ff, but still don’t see how to get this done. Any suggestions?
You may need to scroll down a littletol see the bottom of the custom groups box… click the “+” to add a new custom group.
Once added, you cannot edit, but you can delete it (put it in the trash bin on the right) and re-create with different instruments.
Right - but how do I get it to combine clarinet 2 and clarinet 3? I can add when I click on the plus sign, but cannot combine the two parts. I see from your previous screenshot that you were able to do it, so it’s certainly possible - but I cannot figure it out.
When you click the “+” you are going to create a group, so you must select all the instruments from the list that make up that group. In this case select both clarinets…
