And just to make this a little weirder, on the next page Dorico did condense the Clarinet parts. I can’t work out any rhyme or reason for why it does or does not condense parts. It appears random.
My guess would be: Clarinet 2 is higher than clarinet 1. You would need to adjust the setting regarding allowed number of crossings, or (if this is an oversight), switch notes.
@Estigy - That was the issue! This file was originally created in Finale and imported into Dorico and I hadn’t noticed that error. Like some many things in life, it takes another set of eyes to see the obvious when you’ve been working at something for too long.
Also, this music is copyrighted and it would be unethical for me to distribute it online so screenshots are the only responsible way for me to share problematic snippets.
