Condensing in Single Flow, Divisi in Following Flow

Hello all,

In my project I have 4 flows. The third flow utilizes three divisis (Asx. 1, Mello., and Tbn. 1) to allow for soloists. Now those instruments are not condensing with their counterparts. I tried to condense them manually but the condensing section in the layout options doesn’t show Asx. 2 and Tbn. 2 so I can’t actually condense them. I’ve attached my project to this post. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I did some experiments and found what criteria is needed for condensing Divisi.

  1. Dorico can’t condense Section Players with Solo Players. So, all Players must be section including both Divisi staves.
  2. Set Layout Option > Players > Condensing: Condense divisi and adjacent players

Now, there seems to be a limitation. When Divisi is active, it can condense the Divisi staves within that Player but it can not condense with an adjacent Player.

If neither Player has Divisi active, then those Players can condense.

I re-arranged some of the instruments and explored the condensing change feature and I got it to where I’d like it to be. Thanks again!
