Condensing: inconsistent staff labels and single-stem unisons

Good morning, all,

I know there has been a lot of discussion about condensing vagaries, but I haven’t found the way to solve my particular situation.

1. In the attached page, I would prefer the vertical alignment of instrument numbers as on the alto sax and horn staves, but clarinets and trombones refuse. I have “reset instrument names” to no avail.

2. I have set the condensing options to “prevent single-stem unisons” to prevent an overabundance of a2s, but the horn and trombone staves didn’t get the message.

Any thoughts most appreciated!

It should work with these Engraving Options (Stack vertically and Ignore stem allocation)

Do you have both of these options checked?
