I have this passage for flutes
That condenses like this
Several issues:
- Trill-noetes disapering
- Trill-notes not stacking
- Gliss misplaced
- Gliss absent
Suggestions?
This option[1] should normally allow all auxiliary notes to be displayed. Have you tried?
But it forces a two-voice display, and you’ll end up with two trill indications and two trill lines (you can hide one of them in Engrave Mode if you want).
As for the gliss, I can’t reproduce your issue, neither with glissandi nor with lifts, whether in one voice or two… Could you provide a file?
Notation Options > Condensing > Trills ↩︎
Sure. Here
Flutes condencing issue.dorico (2.2 MB)
Thinking about it there are just to many issues here. I’ll uncondense for this section, even if that brings page vertical space to 106%.
But, looking forward to see if anyone comes with another good solution
Hi @GeirSol, didn’t look yet at your file.
I reconstructed it following the screenshots.
Here a possible solution (manual condensing and flipping some stems+voice index). There is one layout uncontested and one condensed:
Dorico file example:
condensing issue.dorico (1.5 MB)
For the trills, it works with the option I was mentioning (and a bit of tweaking in engrave Mode):
For the lifts, I don’t really understand. It works for example if you change the second note of flute 2:
So, maybe a problem related to the second interval F-G#? It works fine with glissandos.
Flutes condencing issue.dorico (2,2 Mo)
Thanks both.
Keeping uncondensed for now.
Christian_R: Last note is unspecified lift, not gliss.
