Condensing - Lots of Bugs and Oddities

Hiding the staff player labels will not reduce vertical spacing, though, right? They’re forcing adjacent staves to be so far apart in some cases.

Here a couple of ideas that may help

Mvt. 1
B.23 Tbn
create a condensing change at 3rd beat of bar 22, uncheck allow amalgamation of notes and chords. (reset the option where needed, for example at bar 121).
B. 73 Ob.
the same as above. (reset at the 4th beat of 87 for example).

Mvt. 2
B. 45 Fl.
the same as above but insert the condense change at bar 41.
B. 65, 67, 69
the same as above but insert the condense change at bar 63.

The point here is to apply the condensing change at the begining of the (condensing) phrase or where you want a phrase to start and not forget to reset the change.

B. 202-212 Ob.
In galley view (write mode of course) select the text “To Eng. Hn” and move it to the next bar (ctrl + alt + right arrow).
B. 213 ob.
If you want the text “To Eng. Hn” not to show, you can set it to a custom scale of 1. If you do that i would recomend to create a comment so you get a signpost and can remember that the text is there (the comment signpost is not visible in the condensed part but in galley view)

Mvt. 3

B. 67 Tpt in C.
The tuplets rests look like a Bug to me, maybe related with the fact that the slur is crossing the system/frame. If you move either bar 67 to the previus system or bar 66 to the next the problem is gone.

Mvt. 4

B. 216-221. B.Tbn
In Engrave mode, select de Dynamic and in the properties panel select “Placement - Below”

And yes, the player labels can affect the vertical spacing.
