I just started the engraving process on this piece, so I pressed to condense the score and suddenly some pages kind of “crunched” the staves together. Most pages look like the one pictured here on the left, but some now look like that on the right. When I uncondense the score, it goes back to normal. I’m not even sure where to start to fix this or what could be happening?

Take a look at Layout Options > Vertical Spacing > Vertical Justification. If you switch to Engrave mode, you’ll see that the frame fullness of the second page (percentage in the lower left hand corner) has fallen below the first justification threshold, because there are fewer staves, so Dorico does not justify the staves to fill the page. If you make that first number lower than the frame fullness of that page, then Dorico will spread the staves out the way it did on the first page.
